Services provided by a Registered Clinical Social Workers in BC are exempt from sales tax.

Registered Clinical Social Workers are recognized as ‘medical practitioners’ under the Income Tax Act. This means that clinical services provided by Registered Clinical Social Workers can be claimed on your income tax return in accordance with the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC). The Government of Canada will reimburse recipients of clinical services at the prescribed rate.
